You will all be glad to know I have finished the chest. The new top is finally on it. Gary put thin cedar boards inside and it now a real cedar hope chest. I left the outside the way Mamma had it with red roses on the front of the chest. This is not were it is going to sit all the time hope to make a place for it soon. I also hope to have pillows out of the same material. I think she would like the way it looks.
