August 28, 2008

Hope you like these pictures of our day at Historical Park. Misty made friends with two little girls who were there. We listened to Blue Grass music. They also had hayrides and horse rides. They had demo's of how you washed in the old days with two tubs and a washboard, (I personally am glad that is in the past), quilting, and making apple butter, and bees making honey.
That evening we went to Outdoor Theater and saw a play Pathway To Freedom. The play is about how the slaves escaped slavery through the underground railroad to the north and freedom.

Very interesting. I think that would be a great way to spend a day. I love to watch and see some of the olden day things.

That sounds like a lot of fun! It's always interesting to see how things used to be in the "good old days."
